The Pakistani heartthrob was mid-song when he noticed that a young woman in the front row was being harassed by a few men
Pakistani singer Atif Aslam brought a sold-out concert in Karachi to a halt, to rescue a female fan who was being harassed by a group of men during the show.
The incident happened on Saturday night when the 33-year-old was performing at the Karachi Eat 2017 festival. The miscreants were in the front row along with the young woman and Aslam noticed that their antics were getting out of hand.
He asked his band to stop playing and walked to the front of the stage and took the hooligans to task.

“Haven’t you seen a girl? Atif is seen asking the gang angrily in a video posted on Youtube by concert goers. “Your mother or sister could be here as well,” he added.
“Insaan ka baccha ban (act like a human being),” Atif reprimanded them, before resuming the show.
As for the young fan, he asked his team to take her to safety. The woman was pulled up from the crowd and ushered backstage.
The crowd meanwhile applauded the singer and chants of ‘Atif, Atif’ rang out across the venue.
The Pakistani singer was last seen crooning the number Ek Dafa, which is part of a new album by T-Series. Atif was joined by Illeana D’Cruz in the video.
Atif Aslam is the latest celebrity to raise their voice against sexual violence faced by women. After the shameful episode in Bengaluru, which saw a group of guys molest a woman in public on New Year’s Day, many Bollywood actors including Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma and Malaika Arora Khan had spoken out against the incident (Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, Malaika Arora Condemn Bengaluru Molestation, Jan 6).
